Dr. Bernstein's Update Part 2
Last week I mentioned that our former nutritionist Kirsten Hamilton was embarking on a new chapter with her Nursing Home position and that we had hired a new Integrative Functionally oriented Nutritionist, Shelley DePinto DHSc MS RDN LDN. She is now officially on our website listed under the article and is accepting new patients.
We have had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Shelley over the past weeks and she is great. She has been and still is a college professor/instructor, has been teaching future dietitian students about nutritional counseling and has done research and written articles on various nutrition topics.
She has a strong love for learning and has been diving in to learn about Integrative Functional Nutrition and the appropriate use of nutraceuticals in various clinical situations.
Shelley has enjoyed working with our patients with Kirsten thus far and is looking forward to supporting our patients moving forward. She is happily married with a son Ben and an adorable dog Cody. She loves gardening, running and enjoys experimenting in the kitchen.
